FAA requirements:

  1. Bullet applicant must hold a private helicopter license and a second or third class medical certificate

  2. Bullet obtain a minimum of 150 hours total flight time

     at least 10 of which must be instrument and

     100 as pilot-in-command

  1. Bullet pass the FAA aeronautical knowledge and flight proficiency exam ‘check-ride’

  2. Bullet pass the FAA knowledge written exam

A commercial helicopter pilot license enables you to work for hire.  It gives you the opportunity to broaden your horizon for career potential.
